"Back" Up Singers

We use the term "Back" because that's the view you get. Had we known beforehand where the American Flag was flying, we would have stationed our beloved photographers on the opposite side of the field. Oh well, you get the gist, right? Here is Part 1 of Clarity singing Grandpa's four-part women's arrangement of the National Anthem at the Salt Lake Bee's Game, Thursday, May 13th, 2010:

You've definitely got to love husbands who don't notice they stop recording while wrestling three hungry children and manage other photographer's efforts. At least he pressed record again and captured the end of the Anthem! Ha ha. Grandma always told us that people only remember the beginning and the end, so we're happy. Thanks everyone for supporting us!

Audition on a Whim...

Poor Ann was sick and a far drive away, but us girls, Nikki, Karen, and Megan went down to the Spring Mobile Ball Park on March 22, 2010 to where the Salt Lake Bee's Baseball team resides and auditioned to sing the National Anthem at one of their season games this year. We warmed up in our respective vehicles on the drive downtown and practiced downstairs 2 times (adjusting parts to make up for Ann - which was a little difficult to do). It went off without a hitch!
Here's what the "American Idol"-styled judge's table looked like. I love that the Deseret News photographer (that just happened to ride up in the elevator with us) captured Meg's little 3-year-old tugging her leg. Her boys were silent and such good boys to come support their Mommy and two Aunts.
This picture made the front page of the Life section in Utah's Deseret News paper. We had so many calls, texts, emails and comments on Facebook in reaction to our friends and family who were so surprised to see people they knew, on the front page! See the article here
BY THE WAY...WE GOT CHOSEN TO SING!
