On the Utah radio show, B98.7 FM,
Todd & Erin had a "Star Spangled Idol" Contest.
Listeners would call in and sing the National Anthem,
and once the five finalists were chosen,
the public would call in to vote for their favorite.
The winner with the most votes, got awarded to sing at the Harlem Globe Trotter's Game on February 14, 2005 at the Delta Center
(Now, the Energy Solutions Arena).
Well, needless to say, we called in and sang, and were told that it was a unanymous landslide of votes that awarded us the priviledge of singing the National Anthem at the game and a song at Half-Time.
It was so much fun and you may not be able to tell in the pictures, but two of us were pregnant, and two of us were not. Enjoy!
(If you want to hear the radio broadcast of our competition, our reaction to winning and us singing on the radio, click on the link below.)
P.S. Don't worry, it starts out with the other contestants singing, keep listening and you'll hear us.
Thank you, Digital Media Exceleron, for recording the broadcast!
Ann, Nikki, Megan (8 months pregnant) & Karen (4 months pregnant)
It was fun to have family there supporting us. Thanks everyone!
Karen on the Jumbo Tron. So professional.
Nikki on the Jumbo Tron.
We swear it was fun, despite the look on her face.
Maybe this is when we sing "someone's gonna be kissed."
